Splendid has a new partner for its footwear division: Titan Industries is its new footwear licensee. Splendid is a division of VF Contemporary brands and Titan will replace New York Transit as the former footwear licensee.

According to Titan Industries CEO Joe Ouaknine, the California casual brand will replace the footwear division for Joe’s Jeans, which the company is phasing out.

 “It gives us an instant established business,” he said. “It’s a great opportunity for us.”

The new agreement was announced Friday, although future plans for the footwear division were not disclosed.

The apparel collection first launched shoes in 2012. Splendid has a sister brand, Ella Moss, which is at a higher contemporary price point.

Titan Industries also recently bought the trademark rights for Badgley Mischka.
